The Spanish American Committee

The Spanish American Committee

The Spanish American Committee (SAC) supports Latino individuals and families throughout Northeast Ohio with a variety of services. They specifically support seniors with navigating benefits, social services, food, medical services, and various other resources. SAC received a grant from The McGregor Foundation that will help them to pinpoint more specific needs and provide more intentional services for their seniors.

SAC works to educate seniors on technology, benefits, community resources, as well as supporting their emotional and mental health. They recognize the importance of social interaction and held their first Senior Social this past spring! Seniors were able to gather, play games such as bingo, and win different prizes. It is important to them to not only provide services related to financial or physical needs, but also for the well-being of the senior.

The Spanish American Committee has built a reputation in the community where individuals know they can come in and ask for assistance without any judgment. Many of their clients come from families or friends that have previously benefited from The Spanish American Committees services. SAC does what they can to exhaust all options when helping a senior and develop creative solutions to help each of their specific needs. As an organization they are always working towards different certifications and licenses to provide the highest quality of services for their clients. Also, being able to provide services in Spanish has been an amazing resource for the Latino community.

The Spanish American Committee provides outstanding resources that are extremely valuable to Northeast Ohio and the Latino community.
