The food pantry is open to PACE participants and McGregor employees only.

The McGregor Foundation Food Pantry was established to address the ongoing issue of food insufficiency experienced within the McGregor community by our employees as well as by program participants from McGregor Pace, McGregor Senior Housing, McGregor Gardens and McGregor at Overlook.

 

Where in McGregor PACE?

The McGregor Food Pantry is located on the first floor, behind the Therapy Department of the McGregor Pace Building. 

 

Hours and day(s) of the week:

Every 2^nd and 4^th Thursday from 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM

 

Food types and other products available:

A variety of canned foods, grains, beans, fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, cheese, frozen meats, juices, water and liquid eggs, (products vary due to availability from the Greater Cleveland Food Bank).  Additionally, hygienic and environmental supplies such as toiletry items, cleaning products, and laundry products are also available.

 Who can benefit? 

All McGregor and McGregor Pace employees, residents, and participants. The program follows federal income and household guidelines to establish eligibility. 

 What’s on the horizon for the program?

Currently, we seek to recruit consistent volunteers to assist with unpacking, stocking shelves, verifying eligibility and food distribution. Eventually, the plan will be to expand the program to include the surrounding community of East Cleveland.

**According to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the Food Assistance Progam follows the household eligibilty guidelines effective July 1, 2019.
