All Faith's Pantry

Wednesday, October 12, 2022

All Faith’s Pantry is a nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering groceries to low-income seniors with mobility issues at no cost to the recipients. These individuals often live on a fixed income and are unable to leave the house. All Faith’s Pantry prides itself on being volunteer run; almost 100 volunteers unload a truck, pack bags, and deliver the groceries directly to the seniors’ homes. The organization provides a three-day supply of non-perishables to around 400 households per month. These include canned goods, oatmeal, rice, pasta, and other foods to cook with.

In addition to delivering groceries, volunteers also establish a personal connection with the senior they visit monthly. It is a chance for them to catch up with each other and build their relationship. It also alleviates the isolation seniors feel when they are home without another friendly face. The seniors are thankful that the volunteers spend time getting to know them on a personal level and bringing groceries into their home.

All Faith’s Pantry is a partner agency of the Cleveland Food Bank, who they receive food from. The organization also receives support in the form of grants from The McGregor Foundation, which helps purchase items the Cleveland Food Bank doesn’t supply, such as cleaning products, flashlights, first aid kits, and paper products. In 2022, All Faith’s Pantry received a $15,000 grant from The McGregor Foundation to assist in paying the overall operating budget. This budget includes purchasing these products as well as paying salaries and managing donors, corporate sponsors, and donations through a nonprofit database.
